Brief Summaries Chapter One: Not Normal (Read more) In a world where mutants are be coming more common, while fear still surrounds them, a group of teenagers is about to discover the mutant problem is a lot closer to home. Chapter Two: Death (Read more) Having seen the destruction of the mutant Janice, the six return to their homes, with more changes that they could have ever expected. Chapter Three: You're Not Alone (Read more) Alice is dead, but a mysterious woman seems to have other ideas. The group meets up again and are surprised at the new changes that have occurred to each other. Chapter Four: Road Trip (Read more) In a mission to save one of there friends, the remaining five, Alice, Alex, Luke, Zack and Cadence make the decision to leave home. Chapter Five: Lockwood (Read more) On the way to Lockwood they encounter a mysterious boy, who explains more about their world then they could ever know about the Hunter society and Wizards the live in their world. Chapter Six: Mortal's Home (Read more) Due to strange circumstances, they succeed to rescue Kain, but instead of returning home, they go to the house of Mortal Pane accompanied by new allies. Chapter Seven: Intermission (Read more) Mortal places a strange spell on the group, but no consequence is apparent. The group explores Lockword City, and Alice receives a strange warning. Chapter Eight: The Dark Part (Read more) As a test, the group is separated in different places they must using there situations to assist each other and find a way back together. Chapter Nine: The Calm Before (Read more) Two months pass. And the group has been put into a school at Lockwood City. During the dance, they must rescue the boy who helped Alice in the previous chapter. Disaster occurs when Cadence is severely injured. Chapter Ten: Exposition (Read more) The lusus naturae is explained as being a monstrous group that will destroy certain societies of humanity. Allies are split, and Luke learns more about himself. Chapter Eleven:The Oldest Profession Zack is sent on a mission with the mysterious duo Silas and Kader to eliminate one of lusus naturae members by infiltrating the Hunter society. Chapter Twelve: Punk Metal Rocks Cadence healing from her mental and physical wound returns to her home. How ever she cannot escape the reach of the lusus naturae. Chapter Thirteen: The Pen & The Sword Kader and Zack are captured by the Hunter society. With Kader and Silas’s past revealed, they must escape. Longer Summaries Chapter One: Not Normal Alice, the main protagonist has communication with a evil mutant in Alice’s dream Alice wakes up in the middle of the night at 2:22am Alice dreams that she meets two strange girls in a building in the rain Alice is woken by her less-evil step-sister Alex On the way to school Alice sees the two strange girls At school the two strange girls and a boy are introduced as Julie, Sophie and Lyle Alice is put in a group with Alex, Lillith, Cadence (an enemy to Alex and Lillith), Zack, Luke and Kain Lillith appears to be working undercover (this is not shown to the characters) They eventually begin work, but the mutant from Alice’s dream comes and interrupts them, fights with Lillith (who reveals her super fighting uniform) Lillith sets off a bomb to kill only mutants and becomes convinced that the remaining other group members (Alice, Alex, Cadence, Kain, and Luke) are mutants (Alex appears to have a power that involves flying and force fields) Lillith and another person from Lillith’s secret organisation are defeated by the mutant whose name is Janice Janice is just about to warn the members about wizards who want to invade the world when she is interrupted by a boy with pink hair who arrives Janice disappears The pink-haired boy scolds Lillith and leaves Kain asks Lillith out on a date Chapter Two: Death A random girl arrives home and becomes scared from what she sees Alice leaves school in the rain Alice goes on an errand and meets Luke’s gothy friends Cadence comes home and hears some unfortunate news about her uncle Alice is about to be mugged by Luke’s friends The pink haired boy comes to her rescue (gasp! A such a stereotype! Oh no!) Alice has a premonition The pink haired boy scares Luke’s friends away Zack, alive, calls his father The random girl is implied to be Ashley, Zack’s sister Cadence comes to the hospital where her uncle is just as a window breaks and he disappears As Alex, Alex’s mother, Alice and Chantal (another step-sister) eat dinner, the TV reports the death of Cadence’s Uncle Alice goes to sleep Alice dreams in opposite colours that a injured French boy floats from the sky and is taken by ghosty…things Alice wakes up at 2:22am In Alice’s second dream the other member from Lillith’s secret organisation is seen talking to a boy named “Blue” while the pink haired boy listens Blue is said that Janice dumped him The pink haired boy gets angry that Sophie is sent the mission to retrieve Janice and then sad when he cannot do anything about it A weird monster attacks Alice Alice wakes up with green hair that then goes away Alex wakes up with black hair Alice is sent on another errand Alice suddenly is transported to a battle between Janice and the pink haired boy Luke is angry that his mother wants to move Luke’s mother is run over by a vehicle The people from the vehicle shoot Luke Luke dies???!?! Alice distracts the pink haired boy and Janice gains the upper hand Janice steals magic from the pink haired boy who wants to kill Alice “after this” The pink haired boy kills Janice The pink haired boy kills Alice Kain goes on date with Lillith; it is revealed that Cadence is a neighbour of Kain’s Sophie, Julie and Lyle give Alex a cake welcoming her to “Mutanthood” which was suppose to be given to Alice Chapter Three: You're Not Alone Alice is taken from the dead train platform by a mysterious woman who wishes to bring Alice back to life Luke comes back to life (dramatically) and attacks those who killed him and his mother A random boy meets a young girl in a train station (not related to Alice) who ran away from home The boy then returns the girl to her mother and everyone’s happy until the boy goes to drink… Cadence’s uncle’s funeral happens Lyle fights with the pink haired boy; Lyle’s name is revealed to be “Vile” Sophie saves Lyle, and he tells her and Julie (who’s real name is Blanche/Channel) that he was mad that the pink haired boy, whose name is revealed to by Mattieu/Maurice, had killed “2 more people” (Janice and Alice), which Vile learned from Robert who is there (hidden) at the time Vile is made to locate a mutant in the area, who is the boy from the train station, who is recognised to be “Zack from school” (Using his mutant powers), Vile teleports Zack to Sophie and Blanch Kain and Lillith find Luke and because Lillith believes that Luke’s a mutant and they take him with them The mysterious woman (who’s name is Mortal) heals Alice, explains that she lives before Alice’s present, try to find if Alice’s last name is “Pane”, and dies/disappears Alice meet Luke’s mother and Cadence’s Uncle who give her necklaces for Luke and Cadence respectively A worker teases Alice and says “Mortal was wrong” The Mattieu/Maurice coughs up blood and the artist forgets to colour his hair Lillith and company (Sophie, Blanche, Kain, Zack, and Luke who’s still unconscious) take over Alex’s house Alice wakes up and meets Cadence who has had a haircut; Alice takes Cadence home where Chantal rudely interrupts them Sophie comes and freezes Chantal, but doesn’t notice Alice and Cadence Cadence and Alice hear Kain’s voice and spy on Lillith, Zack, Kain, Luke an other members of Lillith’s secret organisation Zack shows how he literally turns into whatever he touches Luke freaks out Alex falls through from the ceiling into the scene where upon a force field appears around her and her forehead bleeds Alex stops Luke by giving him the necklace that was given to Alice People protected by force fields and crosses cannot be harmed by magic Lillith, Kain (who was forcefully taken) and company (all of them) are teleported by Vile because there’s apparently some trouble at their far far away base Chapter Four: Road Trip Sophie leaves a note, and the remaining characters (Alice, Alex, Cadence, Zack and Luke) decide to rescue Kain Chantal appears and makes Cadence really mad and then flees in terror They decide to leave Luke’s friends try to prevent him from leaving by attacking the others Alice rescues everyone…sort of Cadence electrifies Luke’s friends, and Luke gets angry at her The mysterious Hunter Group try to stop everyone from leaving Far away Mortal (a different Mortal?) persuades the worker to lead the group to her Alice dreams of a random women coming back to life and wakes up at 2:22am Alice dreams that a girl, angry at Janice’s death, attacks a group of people (from –Cut-Circle Society) The worker, Ed, comes and wakes everyone (Alex, Alice, Cadence, Luke and Zack) up and plays a “Character Building Game” Chapter Five: Lockwood The main group (Alice, Alex, Cadence, Luke, Zack and now Ed) stop for breakfast Ed is attacked by two mysterious people and videotaped by a third Ed explains the Hunter Society/Group and Wizards to the main group Ed explains that they must go to Mortal Pane to be protected from the Hunters Ed trains the main group some For dinner, they stop at Lucy’s (an old friend of Ed) Ed assigns everyone code names The main group leave when the mysterious people following Ed arrive and Lucy mention the titular “Lusus Naturae” Alice dreams that the people from the Circle escape from their prison Alice dreams that dreams that Ed is attacked by the mysterious trio following him, touches the random who woke up (White) and disappears Chapter Six: Mortal's Home Ed places a spell on the van to take the main company Alice dreams that some woman tries to attack Mattieu/Maurice but fails Mattieu/Maurice than tries to attack Alice, but a mysterious girl protects her The main group arrive at the ISM, the place where Lillith, Kain and the others are They are started by the woman who tried to attack Mathieu/Maurice and flee They invade the ISM, Luke, Alex and Alice disguise and Zack and Cadence go in another way Luke, Alex and Alice run into the girl who attacked the Circle members, and the circle members themselves separately Luke, Alex and Alice are pushed off a roof, meet a member of the Circle and are attacked by the girl who attacked the Circle members before Alice finds herself alone, sees Sophie cause havoc, and rescues Cadence and Zack Vile and Blanche/Channel explain the situation to stop Sophie, Blanche must see her and become her “brother” Blackout/Robert/Noir The build collapses in the more non dramatic way Sophies floats down from the sky They find Kain, who wants to rescue Lillith Vile convinces everyone to leave and is afraid that the Hunters may appear; he takes them to Mortal Pane Mortal Pane appears have a split personality with a “Precious Pane” Mortal Pane reveals Blanche/Noir to be a Golem and is angry that Vile has brought a wizard into her house Chapter Seven: Intermission Alice dreams that Lillith is tortured and the members of the Circle group are betrayed by one of them Alice meets “Precious Pane” who is waiting for “Kader” Alice dreams of the other main group’s pasts The main group meets the remaining members of the Circle group Mortal puts a spell on Luke so that if that their will be a connection between them The main group go into the city Something resembling Mattieu/Maurice is killed by a pen through the forehead The main group return Precious change the house The remaining members of the Circle group explain their terrible past and leave passing by a character called Rain Alice dreams with Mortal to spy on a mysterious child who did something important Alice dreams that Mattieu/Maurice is nice and tries to tell her something Mortal has the Hunters test the main group Chapter Eight: The Dark Part Alice wakes up in a cage in a mysterious place Alex wakes up in the body of the girl who attacked the Circle group in Chapter 4 Zack wakes up frozen in the form of a rock Kain became intangible and invisible to everyone except Mortal Pane Cadence got put on the Internet Vile gets sent to another world Alice escapes from her cage and meets Mattieu/Maurice The person in Alex’s body reveals some interesting information about Alex’s infancy Zack is still stuck/frozen Mortal captures Kain Cadence falls through a hole The people Vile meets in his new world want to return to his old world Alice frees Mattieu/Maurice by asking him questions Alex is moved around by her clone/twin Grass grows over Zack Kain gets very mad at Mortal for testing them Cadence finds an email Vile and his companion return to earth Alice returns to earth with Sophie and Mattieu/Maurise who is soon captured by the Hunters Mortals comes to find Alice with Kain and Cadence who explain the situation Vile and his companions arrive on earth Vile’s companion Olive violently wakes Luke up and rescues Alex from her Clone/twin Kain makes Mortal break the bond between them meaning that if one of them is injured (by another), Luke cannot heal them Zack is finally rescued Chapter Nine: The Calm Before Two mysterious people deliver a letter to have the main group enrolled in a private school in Lockwood City Three months has passed Alex has news friends: Dahlia and Florian who she has a crush on A mission is explained in which the group must rescue Maurice/Mattieu who is under the location of the Prom/Grad/Important Dance during the Prom/Grad/Important Dance; Alex is not impressed Alex tries to find a good dress with her minimal amount of cash; she eventually decides to fix one that’s cheap Precious puts a spell to fix up the dress after Alex’s dismay Alice and Mortal continue to spy on the child who made the parents of the Pane children (Mortal, Precious…others) Alex enjoys herself at the dance and almost forgets the mission The others have their share of awkward conversations As planned, Alex and Alice find Maurice/Mattieu Maurice/Mattieu tell them that the lusus naturae event/prophecy is already beginning The other students are evacuated from the building by Veil blinding them and Vile teleporting them back to school The sky has a weird rip in it (as though something has just burst upwards through the clouds) Cadence’s hands are found ripped off, and, understandably, Alex is ill Cadence is teleported to safety just as the build collapses (as a result of Olive hitting its foundation, general explosions and Kain ascending into the sky!) Maurice/Mattieu, at the probing of Alice, follows what he did in the past Alice’s dream (and the author forgets to colour his hair, again) The 7 antagonists of the story, the members of the Lusus Naturae, finally appear (far far away from our main characters) Interlude: Maurice hammers something mysterious into the ground Chapter Ten: Exposition Luke meets Maurice/Mattieu in the bathroom and Luke confirms that he is straight and gets creeped out by anything to suggest otherwise Cadence leaves before Luke can heal her and Mortal blames Kain especially for breaking the bond placed in Chapter 7 Luke talks to his friends who still live in the city that the main group came from via chat room Everyone is moved into a meeting room with the “new” members of the Circle group Luke becomes excited that Alex sits behind him (He is in love with her) The Lusus Naturae members “who are going to destroy the world” are explained Maurice/Mattieu clears some misconceptions about the Lusus Naturae that Mortal believes Olive gets very angry at Mortal and the meeting is adjoined A girl from the “new” Circle group tells Luke that Zack is in love with him which is not exactly a lie… Luke gets very mad and goes out to sulk in the rain where he finds Vile Vile reveals that he, Olive, Viel and Luke are Pane children and that Vile is waiting outside for Sophie to return Olive wants Luke, Viel and Vile to accompany her when she joins the Circle group Olive gets angry at Luke and pushes him through a window where he falls three stories Luke is woken up by Maurice and Alice still out in the rain Luke because annoyed with Maurice and snatches Maurice’s mask Maurice faints and Luke tries to heal him but is surprised by Maurice’s “hidden” injuries Luke hears voices and is revived; Maurice who was revived faints again Luke and Alice find how badly injured Maurice actually is Luke and Maurice fight Maurice wakes up inside and Alice prevents any fights to occur between Luke and Maurice The Circle group leaves with Olive and Veil; it is implied that Shifter’s sister Minder can read minds and that Maleficent can only change her appearance Luke returns to chatting with his friends and is shocked and appalled from over hearing Alex take Florian, a boy, to her room Precious overhears Luke and watches news reports about the Lusus Naturae destroying cities last updated Spring 2009 Lusus Naturae is hosted on ComicGenesis, a free webhosting and site automation service for webcomics.
